May I Share A Thought With You? An Interactive Art Exhibit Curated by Jason Towns
You are cordially invited to attend the reception being held on Monday, August 17 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Opportunity Project to showcase “May I Share A Thought,” an Interactive Art Exhibit curated by Jason Towns, a member of Opportunity Project, Inc.
The exhibit will be open for private showing on Mondays August 24 and August 31 between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
This exhibit desires to bring the memories of everyone together in an exploration of human reminiscences and sentimental thoughts. Visitors are invited to record their memories on paper. They will be asked to select an image that prompts a memory and write the response on the paper.
Arranged through the Opportunity Project Vocational program, Jason Towns has been interning at the Montclair Art Museum (MAM) for the past six years where he performs research and curates exhibits. This is Jason’s 4th exhibit. He previously curated exhibits include, “The Struggles of Mankind,” a series of reproduced works pulled from the Museum’s private collection representing his personal path to brain injury recovery, and the collective and internal trials of mankind; “Past Thoughts, Today’s Images” and “The Elements of Fear” done in collaboration with Parson School of Design – Illustration Department.
We hope you will be able to attend and participate in this innovative approach to art.
