This year marks the 15th Anniversary of the Opportunity Project Annual Golf Classic taking place on Monday, September 18 at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park, NJ. Co-Chairs of the event are Marc E. Berson, Jacob S. Buurma, The Davino Family, Marshall Freidus, Chris Johnson, Murray Kushner, Jared Levine, Matthew McDonald MD, Jonathan Sobel and Eileen Sudler.

The day features a golf scramble, multiple on-course contests such as taking mulligan shots, Beat the Pro and a chance to win two hole-in-one cars. There will be plenty of specialty food and spirits including a Lobster Roll and Rosé Stand, an authentic Biergarten, food trucks and more. Get ready for fun even if you are not golfing! We will once again feature a games portion of the event offering Mah Jongg, Canasta, lunch and gifts for all players. Cocktails, dinner and a raffle featuring unique gift items will conclude the evening.

Brain injury is a lifelong injury. Unfortunately, it remains the leading cause of death and disability in America’s children and adults ages 1 to 44. As we culminate our 29th year of providing programs and services to people who have sustained a brain injury and their families, we also proudly offer local, regional and national awareness initiatives for communities, schools and corporations. Prevention is the only cure.

5.3 million people in the U.S. live with long-term disabilities as a result of brain injury. The Opportunity Project Clubhouse is and always has been a pioneer in the brain injury field offering stellar programs and services, a universally accessible state-of-the-art facility and highly dedicated and qualified staff. We provide survivors of brain injury with opportunities to build cognitive skills, vocational skills, self-esteem and confidence in their ability to accomplish productive activities and to lead fulfilling lives. This is our 15th Annual Golf Classic, directly funding OP’s programs and services. This event raised $51,000 in 2008, and has grown to raise over $300,000 each year – totaling over $3.14M to date!

Opportunity Project has grown from a 1 day a week program in 1994 with 15-20 to an expanded 6-day week program in our own beautiful Clubhouse, serving over 700 Members and their families. We turn no one away, yet we receive little public funding.

Your support will enable OP to continue its work on behalf of individuals with brain injury.
